google went behind my back and tarted up all the blog design tools right after i spent ages pouring over html and css and putting up the template. which means there are many simple things like rss feeds and new post pages which one can't get to easily. which sucks. shall fix it all once the univs are over. The pictures below were the chief contenders for the banner graphic. Jennifer Apple's brilliant photoshop tutorials were a great help.
